When the rental place said “2015 impala” I did not expect this. Didn’t know Chevy still made these miserable things. Speakers are pretty OK though.

I believe they still make them specifically for fleet/rental. Boring and ugly, but they’re comfortable and reliable.
My dad had two as company cars and put ~120,000 miles on them without any trouble.

Thing doesn’t even fit in your driveway! Do you have a foghorn to let people know you are coming and can’t stop on a dime?

Yep, they call it the impala limited. I don't remember if they're available directly to consumers or just to rental/fleet companies.

Fleet only Impala "Limited"

Do they at least have the front bench seat?
Fuck GM for killing off the V8 Impala SS with the front bench :(

oooooh I hate those. One of my least favorite cars. Rented one and it was so underpowered (which I don’t care that much about) and the handling was horrendous. The understeer was so bad it felt almost dangerous. So either something was terribly wrong with the tires or it was just a bad car. That was my worst rental experience.

Your driveway is as narrow as mine

Comfortable? My back is killing me after 30 minutes. These seats feel like they were made only for 6ft people. Not 5’5” ones

We already almost had an off due to understeer. Utterly awful

Nope. Stupid console shifter.

Large sedan, GM, FWD, V6, dates back a decade …. same thing right?

ive never driven a car with more severe understeer at such low speeds.

The 2012 model year brought the 3.6L V6 (300 hp) and revised suspension tuning, so I’m going to assume yours was from before then.

Slower, worse interior, less comfortable, handles worse, smaller...
Not really.

Havent driven either, but even for GM it would be a feat of engineering to make a 300hp slower.

This impala is a very far cry from 300hp..

According to wiki the only engine past 2013 is the 300hp 3.6 V6. Granted wiki isn't the best source though.

Well the one I rented definitely wasn’t 300hp, so I hope you’re right.

Are you sure that’s referring to this rental-spec one? Pretty sure this has the 240hp High Feature v6 that replaced the 3800 series 3

Nope! People 6’ and over hate them too.
